Promote Healing and Protect Teeth with RC Med plus (Calcium Hydroxide & Iodoform Paste)
A versatile intracanal medicament for effective root canal treatment. RC Med Calcium Hydroxide Iodoform Paste is a reliable and multi-functional solution for root canal therapy. This pre-mixed paste combines the benefits of calcium hydroxide and iodoform to promote healing, fight infection, and protect teeth.Dual Action Powerhouse-
Calcium Hydroxide: Stimulates the formation of dentin, a hard calcified tissue that helps repair damaged tooth structure.Additionally, its high pH- creates an environment unfavorable for bacterial growth.
Iodoform: Provides potent antibacterial properties, helping to eliminate bacteria within the root canal system and prevent further infection.
Promotes Healing: Calcium hydroxide stimulates dentin formation, aiding the natural repair process within the tooth.
Combats Infection: The powerful antibacterial action of iodoform helps eliminate bacteria and prevents reinfection in the root canal.
Radiopaque Formula: Ensures clear visibility on X-rays for accurate placement and monitoring of the paste during treatment.
Pre-Mixed Convenience: Eliminates the need for messy mixing, saving valuable chair time and ensuring consistent application.

Antimicrobial Action:
Iodoform releases free iodine upon contact with tissue fluids, offering a sustained antimicrobial effect inside the canal. -
pH ~12 Alkaline Environment:
The high pH inhibits bacterial growth and promotes healing. -
Hydrophobic and Plastic Consistency:
Ensures smooth delivery, stable placement, and hermetic sealing of the root canal. -
Tissue Compatibility:
Paste that extrudes beyond the apex is gradually resorbed and does not cause tissue damage. -
Safe for Paediatric Use:
In deciduous teeth, RC-Med Plus resorbs naturally along with physiological root resorption. -
Non-Interfering with Dental Bud Formation:
Safe for developing permanent teeth. -
To avoid tooth discoloration
