Etch-G is a crucial material used in restorative dentistry to prepare tooth surfaces for bonding procedures. It acts as a microscopic workhorse, creating a strong foundation for composite fillings, crowns, veneers, and other restorations.

What Etch-G does:

Surface Etching: The etchant is a mild acidic gel or liquid, typically containing phosphoric acid. This acid gently removes the outermost layer of enamel and dentin, creating a roughened surface.

Enhance Bonding: The roughened surface increases the surface area, allowing dental adhesives to form a stronger, more durable bond with the tooth structure.

Improve Outcomes: By creating a secure bond, Etch-G helps restorations last longer and reduces the risk of future problems like leakage or detachment.

• Enamel etching prior to composite bonding

• Dentin conditioning in total-etch technique

• Cementation of veneers, crowns, and orthodontic brackets

Preparation

• Ensure tooth surface is clean, dry, and free of debris.

• Isolate area to prevent contamination (preferably with rubber dam or cotton rolls).

2. Application

• Attach provided applicator tip to the BhooJaa ETCH G syringe.

• Carefully apply a thin layer of etchant gel to the desired tooth surface: Apply for 15–20 seconds.

3. Rinse and Dry

• Thoroughly rinse the gel with a water spray for at least 10 seconds.

• Gently air dry the surface:

  • Enamel should appear frosty white.

  • Dentin should remain moist (not desiccated).

4. Proceed with Adhesive System

Apply bonding agent or primer as per manufacturer’s instructions.

• Store below 25°C, away from sunlight

• Keep container tightly closed

• Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and soft tissues.

• In case of contact, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
